Hmong New Year & Culture Fair

WCMS Hmong dancers
On Dec. 11, WCMS celebrated Hmong New Year and its Fall Culture Fair with a gathering of over 300 people. Students, families, and staff members saw student work focused on Asia and Europe. The Hmong New Year program featured traditional Hmong clothing and Hmong dance and song.

Finally, the crowd gathered in the Circle Room for some delicious food including spring rolls, sticky rice, and noodles. Special thanks to Culture Specialist Mary Dorow, bilingual aides Yer Xiong and Chang Yang, and Counselor Jolene Yang for organizing the event.
