On November 2, 2004, it wasn't just the adults who were going to the polls. Students also participated in the voting process through the Kids Vote program. Mrs. Lyons, WCMS Gifted and Talented specialist, coordinated a school-wide program to educate our students about the election  | | Students rally for Kids Vote |
process and to encourage future participation in this civic privilege. The school had a kick-off assembly featuring the bald eagle character General Election. Then, on Election Day, classes of students walked down to the local polling place and cast their ballots for President.
