| Welcome to Kindergarten at World Cultures Magnet School |  |  | | Mrs. Schultz meets with a WCMS family. |
Kindergarten at WCMS is an all-day affair led by classroom teachers Ms. Forsman and Mrs. Lara and supported by ELL teacher Mrs. Evans. The curriculum focuses on developmentally appropriate material for the
students. Their academic activities include letter/sound recognition,
counting skills, and pattern recognition. Social  | | Kindergartners are welcomed to WCMS. |
activities are equally
important as these young students learn to cooperate with classmates
and adjust to school routines and rules. Besides their time in the
classroom, kindergarteners eat lunch in the cafeteria, have playtime on
the playground, and go to specials with the Culture specialist, the computer teacher, and the Gifted/Talented teacher.
