Board member John Brodrick and Chief Operations Officer Hitesh Haria enjoy Jakob's Scratch video game.
On May 28, over 25 St. Paul schools gathered at Arlington High School and showed off current technology projects at the Technology Student Showcase. World Cultures Magnet School was well represented by 6th graders Kristy, Noushue, Lindsey, and Hannah who presented animated short clips, Scratch projects, and graphic novels of Greek myths.

*The animated short clips were created with KidPix 3X, then made into a video using iMovie. The students then added their own Garage Band compositions.

*Scratch is a free program that enables anyone to create their own animations or video game-like program. In just a few weeks, students in the 6th grade have written impressive programs that change letters to photos or that play video games. Featured student programs were done by Jakob, Christopher, Kristy, Sarah, and Acamy.

*The graphic novels were created using Comic Life. After studying ancient Greece and its myths, the students took photos of themselves acting out the stories and turned them into a graphic novel.
