6th grader shows off her project to Dr. Harvey
For the second consecutive year, WCMS students participated in the district's Student Technology Showcase which was held on March 13, 2003. This year's entries were 2nd grade Nursery Rhyme Presentations and 6th grade Flip, Slide, and Turn Slide Shows. The participating students showed off their projects, visited other schools' booths, watched student-produced videos, and enjoyed the cookies and free t-shirts. The WCMS staff was well-represented at the event. Mrs. Nolan and Mrs. Schreiber joined their student participants, while Ms. Weyandt accompanied the students who took the free bus. Mr. Hochman, Ms. Patschke, Mrs. Lyons, Mrs. Heeschen, and Ms. Dorow came to see the projects, and Mr. Ching coordinated and set up the equipment. The WCMS projects received many compliments from teachers and students of other schools as well as glowing praise from School Board Members Ann Carroll and John Broderick and District Superintendent Patricia Harvey. It was also wonderful to see and visit with a number of WCMS alumni who were participating with their middle schools and junior highs. We hope you enjoy the WCMS pictures of the Student Technology Showcase.
