WCMS 6th Graders in World Affairs Challenge 3/15/2010 7:33 AM On March 6, a group of WCMS 6th graders participated in the World Affairs Challenge at Macalester College. This group of students, coached by Administrative Intern Mike Shepperd, had been meeting twice a week after school to prepare for this competition; their presentation focused on water pollution in India.
McKnight Foundation Visits WCMS 2/25/2010 4:02 PM On Thursday, February 25, Board Members of the McKnight Foundation visited WCMS to see the Pre-Kindergarten classroom and the Minnesota Reading Corps program. The McKnight Foundation has been a generous supporter of both programs. Superintendent Valeria Silva and SPPS Board Chairperson Elona Street-Stewart accompanied the group on its visit.
