Americas Culture Fair

WCMS will celebrate its Spring Culture Fair on Thursday, May 14. This Culture Fair will celebrate the cultures of the Americas. Highlights include:
- 10:14 Circle Time with Mayor Chris Coleman in attendance
- 1:15 Classroom Open House to see students' work
- 2:30 Playground dedication featuring WCMS Drum Group

Solar Oven Project

World Cultures Magnet School is participating in a project to distribute solar ovens to needy countries such as Haiti and Somalia. The WCMS Student Council is collecting aluminum cans to raise funds for the purchase of these solar ovens. This is in response to President Obama's "call to service." Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments

The MCA Reading Tests will be given on April 14 and 15, while the MCA Math Tests will be administered on April 21 and 22. Please have your student come to school well-rested and ready to show off what they have learned.

MCA Prep Night

On Wed., March 4, WCMS will be holding an MCA Prep night for parents/guardians of students in grades 3-6. The purpose of the evening is to give parents an overview of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments and to provide suggestions for preparing for these statewide tests. Please look for more info in the notices sent home with students.
